In the year 2100, the empire of Mortemonde has subjugated the whole world to digital slavery. Every slave is forced to collect 1000 XP (coins) every month in “Battledream”, a video game where, if you die, you cease to exit in real life. Only those fortunate enough to succeed in the game are granted the right to live another month. Syanna, a young Martinican slave, refuses to keep living in these conditions, and decides to fight for her freedom. This inventive film depicts the power of true friendship, of protective love, and its drama invokes the necessity of integrity, the consequences of betrayal, and the boundlessness of evil.
