Blauw is a poetic documentary about maker Melissa Domacassée’s experiences living on an island. When most people saw a piece of paradise, all she could see was stagnation, decay and a life of limitations. And then there was the sea. That blue sea that saw everywhere. It reminded her with every crash of the waves that she has reached her limit.
