El Tiempo Nublado tells the story of Arami, a daughter who comes face-to-face with one of her life’s most difficult decisions: leave behind all her life plans to return to her ill and elderly mother’s side and care for her, or find a nursing home and face her guilt. This is a profoundly personal documentary about a universal theme: the relationship between adult children and their elderly parents. It is set against the backdrop of the Paraguayan social class, while offering a glimpse into the treatment the elderly receive in a country that lacks the will to offer them the appropriate and needed care.
