This year, a jury of industry professionals and acclaimed filmmakers will be presenting awards to competition films in the following categories: International Features, DoxNfocus, Caribbean Spotlight Series, Aruba Flavor and International Shorts.

Virginia Madsen is one of Hollywood’s most versatile and unique actresses. Not only did she receive amazing reviews for her Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated performance in Alexander Payne’s hit film, Sideways, but this Independent Spirit Award-winning actress has an illustrious resume of roles alongside the most notable and respected actors in the business. Virginia also runs her production company with partner Karly Meola called Title IX Productions.
Kevin Lally is the executive editor of Film Journal International, a New York-based magazine covering the movie theatre business. Over the course of his 32 years at the magazine, he has interviewed several hundred filmmakers and industry executives. He is also the author of Wilder Times: The Life of Billy Wilder, published by Henry Holt. His reviews have also been published in The Hollywood Reporter and The Washington Post. Mr. Lally lives in Brooklyn.
Suzette Zayden is a Belizean filmmaker with a passion for promoting Caribbean films both regionally and internationally. Since 2008 she has been the Coordinator of the Film and Media Arts Unit and Facilitator for Belize’s Film Commission within Belize’s National Institute of Culture and History (NICH), the founder and director of the Belize International Film Festival since its first edition in 2003, and Chair for the Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase in Belize since its inception in 2006. She has worked about 25 years in the industry and has her own production company called Fer de Lance Productions in Belize.
In 1983, André Bennett created Cinéphile Limited, a distribution and international sales company; then in 1992, Bennett founded Cinema Esperança International, a production, distribution and international sales company. Both company’s focus on thought-provoking & entertaining feature films and documentaries. Bennett is very familiar with the International Film Industry, having established close ties with directors, producers, distributors, sales agents, cultural & governmental agencies, and international film festival directors. Further, he has been invited, as an international jury member, on many well-known international film festivals; along with participating in film seminars, symposiums and panels in Europe & North America.
Steve Stabler is currently the Chairman and CEO of Commotion Pictures, and has produced, acquired, marketed, and distributed more than 100 movies, including 20 major studio theatrical releases and 30 made for television and home entertainment movies. He is best known for producing commercial features including Dumb and Dumber , The Farrelly Brothers’ first feature film starring Jim Carrey, which generated a gross worldwide box office of $250 million, Kingpin starring Woody Harrelson, Randy Quaid, and Bill Murray, and Beverly Hills Ninja starring Chris Farley.
Todd Soliday has directed, shot, edited and posted feature films, corporate brand films, and music documentaries for major networks and companies. Todd’s true passion is documentary storytelling. Recent projects include Finding Hillywood, (2013 feature doc), Platinum: The MT. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom (2007 feature doc) and Voyage: Alone Across the Atlantic (2006 series and pilot). He is currently editing Big Sonia and just finished editing a feature documentary about the lottery system in America called Out of Luck (2015). He also animated graphics for The Breach (2014) that had its world premiere earlier this year.
